Cost for Phase 1 - Programming and Planning is a fixed fee of $98,145. Phase 2 is the deconstruction of various buildings and fee is estimated at around $250,000 but will be determined after Phase 1 is completed.

Project Description
The University is seeking architect/engineering services for the demolition of various buildings on the campus of Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL. Services will be provided in two parts, the first will consist of conducting a programming study with University staff to define the scope and budget for the project. The second will be for the design and construction administration services necessary to complete the selected demolition components outlined in the programming study. The buildings initially selected are Wetzel residence hall and Lamoine Village complex (family residential units). The buildings are to be treated independently.

Submittal qualifications are to include: 1) one page summary of why your firm should be considered for selection on this particular project; 2) standard form 255; 3) minimum of three relevant recent references; 4) examples of projects of a similar nature including project estimates and actual construction costs - provide an owner contact for each example; and, 5) additional information you may feel to be useful.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
