The University awarded a contract for Public Radio Programming to National Public Radio, Washington, DC, for an estimated $130,000.
Tri States Public Radio is the NPR affiliate station for a large region of west-central Illinois, southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri; public radio broadcasts provide the best and in many cases the only access to high-quality news and information and cultural programming that is available from NPR. NPR also provides seamless integration of local and national content to the Tri States Public Radio website.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the procurement is radio and television broadcast rights.
