The University awarded a contract for Banner System Maintenance to Ellucian Company L.P., Chicago, IL, for an estimated $946,491.
Chicago State University runs nearly all of its business and academic affairs off this ERP system. Banner is the University's Priory One application which supports all major operational areas of the University including student services such as financial aid, registration, transcripts, daily business process operations for staff and faculty such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable. The modules are integrated and allow for real-time maintenance and interfaces to web based self services. Banner is also the major source of information needed to support compliance enforcement.

This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the procurement is software license, upgrade or maintenance. Compatibility of Equipment, Accessories, Replacement Parts or service.

A public hearing will be held at which interested parties may testify for or against the sole source determination as described in this notice. The purpose of the hearing is to receive information from the public in a reasonable manner. Formal rules of evidence will not apply. The hearing panel will produce minutes of the hearing and may record it in order to aid in the production of the minutes. Interested parties wishing to comment for or against the determination may do so in writing or in person. If you wish to testify, prior registration is requested to ensure adequate time is allowed for all parties.
