Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Governors State University requests submission of qualifications from interested architectural firms to provide architectural services on a retainer basis. The agreement will be for 36 months beginning July l, 2016 and ending on June 30, 2019 with options to renew for a single, potential three year period. Services will be performed on an as-needed basis during the contract period. There is no guarantee that any work will be assigned under this QBS selection.

Services may include the following: architecture, long range planning, master planning, initial and detailed planning, space planning, site utilization studies, interior design, and environmental sustainability design. Individual purchase orders may necessitate the need for the awarded firm to contract with specialty design services such as (without limitation) lighting, audio-visual, acoustical, and/or food service design, as needed.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 4 original copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
  • There is a BEP goal for this procurement. See solicitation documentation for details.
  • The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
