Grow Your Own Teachers Illinois (GYO) will recruit candidates interested in becoming teachers. GYO will also provide tutoring, test preparation services, academic and career planning, and access to strategic partners who provide emergency financial assistance for books, transportation, housing or childcare costs.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
