The University seeks an architectural/engineering firm(s) to provide services of architectural design and engineering for construction documentation and project manuals for Program Analysis, Conceptual Design, Design Development, Bid Document Preparation, Bidding Assistance and Construction Administration for remodeling and repair of existing teaching, student and support spaces which may include general and specialized classrooms and clinics/laboratories for undergraduate and graduate students. The work may also include computer laboratories, lecture/assembly halls, educational research and professional development spaces, offices, spaces for spontaneous student interaction and meeting in support of student-centered environment and other secondary and support services.

Professional services may occasionally be based on already completed programming and conceptual design of the building and/or spaces within the existing buildings. The successful firm will provide professional architectural and engineering services for site evaluation, field verification, alternative solutions, cost estimating, design development (including cost modeling), construction documentation, bidding, construction administration and project closeout. Related commissioning services may also be required.

  • Submitted 5 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
