Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

This is for ongoing Anthology software licenses and Event Check-in App for SIUEs Student Affairs. The University has opted for a 3-year agreement for cost savings. Anthology provides Student Affairs with the ability to capture and track data/metrics to analyze the impact and effectiveness of our programs and services and manage a comprehensive program review process. The division can streamline the self-study process, document departmental progress, provide evident of achievement, and organize information for divisional and institutional reporting. Anthology is specific in its integrative programs for Assessment, Strategic Planning, Outcomes, Data Collection, Program Review, Mobile Check-In, and Engage. Each of these tools works together to allow us to track and analyze student engagement, retention, and success, and how our departments might improve their operations to positively impact the student experience.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software license or maintenance agreement or competitively solicited software purchase, when the software, license, or maintenance agreement is available through only the software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) This exemption is for Anthology software licenses and Event Check-in App currently utilized by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Student Affairs Dept.
