The University awarded a contract for EZ1 Advanced XL DNA/RNA extractor, kits, supplies.
EZ1 Advanced XL DNA and RNA extractor and extractor kits and supplies.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This is needed to perform testing for COVID-19. This is an additional extractor to one the Pathology already has and is needed to help perform testing for the increased volume expected during COVID-19. This purchase will also include extractor kits and supplies needed to run the extractors now and in the future.
