The University awarded a contract for ACUSON SC2000 PRIME.
ACUSON SC2000 PRIME is an ultrasound system that provides workflow efficiency and precision, complete with Structural Heart Disease solution with a full suite of imaging options and one-click AI-powered applications.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The Acuson SC2000 PRIME system will provide UI Health another system that has the latest AI technology to help an outpatient ultrasound department improve its overall productivity. The portable Bonsai will allow better access to our patients for portable exams.
