The University awarded a contract for Ventana BenchMark XT reagents and consumables.
Purchase of reagents and consumables needed for continued operation of the Ventana BenchMark XT and special stainers from Roche Diagnostics. The equipment is currently used to perform Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and In Situ Hybridization (ISH) for diagnosis of disease and cancer screening for UI Health patients.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement will allow the Laboratories to continue to perform IHC and ISH testing for UI Health patients.
