The University awarded a contract for Vantage 256 - Research Ultrasound Platform.
Vantage 256 - Research Ultrasound Platform.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) The proposed system to purchase will help us to expand our pre-clinical research to clinical research, making our proposed methodology translated to human patients. Development of such clinical study will impact the way patients are screened in the UI Hospital and an earlier diagnosis for different conditions will be possible that will result in better patient outcomes. R01 grant funded for Avanaki Lab.
