The University awarded a contract for Library Subscription Database titled Compendex. .
Purchase from Elsevier, BV their Library Subscription Database titled, Compendex. That subscription is the most comprehensive bibliographic database of engineering research that contains over eight million references and abstracts taken from over 5,000 engineering journals, conferences and technical reports.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because the procurement expenditures are for periodicals and books procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental.
