The University awarded a contract for a vendor supplied coordinator.
The vendor supplied Coordinator will review and know the schedules of their providers at all of Rosecrances sites with University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford's 3rd and 4th year students to arrange for psychology clerkship rotations.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for placement of students in externships, practicums, field experiences, and for medical residencies and rotations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(6)) Without Rosecrance, we would have insufficient sites to send UICOMR students to for psychiatry medical student rotations. We must send students to Rosecrance in order to cover Liaison Committee Medical Education requirements for psychiatry medical student training. There are no additional options for psychiatry medical student placement within Rockford.
