The University awarded a contract for LOGIQ E10 premium ultrasound imaging system.
This acquisition allows the IR department to provide a higher Standard of Care and also streamlines the learning curve by having the same user interface and probe interchangeability.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This is the newest version of the machine and provides the staff with the current technology to provide the safest care to our patients.
