The University awarded a contract for clinical rotation compliance software..
This procurement will allow a more seamless clinical rotation experience for health science students from not only UIC, but other training programs looking to receive required hands-on experience prior to completing their education.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for placement of students in externships, practicums, field experiences, and for medical residencies and rotations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(6)) The software will provide UI Health with compliance tracking, immunization records, drug tests, background checks, orientation materials, electronic clinical placements and scheduling, and time management to track clinical training hours.
