The University awarded a contract for a project consultant.
The vendor has been selected as a consultant for the Illinois Department of Public Health reorganization project. The vendor will be working as a senior design strategist (business design lead) on the project.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) The Illinois Department of Public Health has hired the Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design to work on this reorganization project. Utilizing consultant services allows the Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design and the Office of Population Health Sciences to fulfill contractual obligations and meet deliverables for the State of Illinois. This consultant has the experience needed to lead this project.
