Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

The CIRRUS 6000 imaging system and the CLARUS 500 ultra-widfield retinal camera are being purchased for the Study of Latinos (SOL) research project. The imaging instruments are necessary to assess eye disease for the research studies primary aims.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
