Project Description
The project consists of replacing RTU-1, 6,000 CFM roof top unit and controls for the system. Removal of Exhaust fan, EF-1, approx. 5500 CFM that serves isolation suite 882WA. Steam heating will be replaced with hot water and coil pump for new preheat coil. Chilled water will be existing campus chilled water system with a new 2 way control valve to AHU cooling coil. Demolition of the two existing chilled water booster inline pumps. Humidification will connect to existing campus steam piping.

Description of Work: The new indoor air handling unit shall be located behind the exterior wall immediately South of Bone Marrow AHU, in the mechanical equipment room on the 9th floor. A new corresponding Exhaust Fan (EF-1) Unit will be installed on the roof, adjacent to the existing unit RTU- 1/EF-1 exhaust roof penetration. o minimize the air service interruption for Bone marrow suite a new supply air ductwork shall be run from the existing S-9 Supply air ductwork over the area where the new AHU shall be placed and penetrate the exterior wall and connect to the existing Supply ductwork above the roof but below the RTU-1. Replace fourteen (14) Air Terminal box damper actuators from Pneumatic to DDC electronic and the associated hot water reheat control valves from Pneumatic to DDC electronic and the associated space pneumatic space temperature sensor to DDC. Replace the Tridium VYKON Jace-600 controller in penthouse located near door out to the lower roof. Replace the existing Room Pressure Control/Monitoring Panel which has 11 room pressure keyed switches and Pressura room pressure monitors showing the room pressure status and replace this with a touch screen monitor to duplicate this with all DDC control.

Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.

A second MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 6/2/2022 at 10:00 a.m. for Divisions 4 & 5 only.
