Project Description
This project consists of the second phase of the renovation of the Natural History Building (NHB). It consists of the full build-out of a four-story plus partial mechanical attic building that, upon completion, will contain classrooms, instructional and research laboratories, faculty and graduate student offices, shared research offices, student gathering spaces, equipment storage and required support spaces. The goal for the completed building is a LEED Gold certification. Portions of the site will be improved with concrete and permeable paving areas for entry/egress and campus circulation, as well as an expanded teaching area, bicycle parking, reconfiguration of a service entry and dumpster area, as well as landscaping throughout that remains sensitive to the historic landscaping on site.
