Project Description
The Base Bid project work includes providing additional UI research space within a new engineered metal building addition on the eastern end of the existing facility, to allow research equipment utilized by UI researchers to be relocated from elsewhere on campus to this new lab space. Most relocated and new equipment items are to be housed within a new mechanical room which will be part of the proposed addition. Exterior and interior finishes and MEP systems are to be similar to the existing Aerodynamic Lab facility's as displayed in the Drawings. New exterior installations of one existing and five new pressurized tanks at the site, near the Aerodynamics Research Lab, are included in the Base Bid project work. Alternate Bid #1, is to provide three additional pressurized tanks and required piping connections for them.
