Project Description
Improve exterior and interior areas to provide ADA accessibility. Two concrete ADA ramps will be built at existing entrances. Interior work includes addition of three ADA ramps with handrails, modification of one existing ramp, reconfiguration and modifications to existing doorways, reconfiguration of hallways and stairs at the historic west lobby. New casework, doorways, and some new partitions to be built. West Lobby interior stone panels to be modified, decorative casework with lighting to be installed. New areas of terrazzo flooring to be installed. Miscellaneous plaster and wood trim cut and patch at work areas. Electrical, heating, plumbing, and sprinkler work will be required in some areas as a result of the ADA modifications, such as rerouting existing service for power door operators, adding or modifying overhead lights, adding new lighting and exit lights at circulation area, and at other areas affected by the interior alterations.
