Project Description
The project includes the remodeling of the fourth floor of the Levis Faculty Center to provide office and conference spaces for the Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH). The scope of work includes the demolition of selected existing walls, movable partition walls, ceilings, doors, and finishes,including hazardous materials abatement. The new work will consist of construction of new partitions, new doors and frames with hardware, interior windows, ceilings and finishes. New open office cubicle partitions, work stations (systems furniture), and other furniture will be provided by Owner. New finishes shall be provided throughout and include new ceilings, flooring, acoustical treatments, and paint for walls and existing exposed concrete waffle slab ceiling. New interior access flooring ramps and a new exterior boardwalk and ramp will be required for accessible egress to the existing roof terrace through replaced exterior doors with new hardware. New fire alarm, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work is included. Work also includes new technology, audio-visual equipment and furnishings.
