Project Description
Scope of work includes interior build-out and renovation of approximately 4,800 square feet in the Agricultural Engineering Sciences Building. The areas of work are the first floor two story high bay Pilot Processing Plant (Room 187) and the Analytical Laboratory (Room 190) and Test Kitchen (Room 194). The adjacent spaces above (classrooms, laboratories and offices) in the building will be occupied during the duration of construction. For Room 187 (Pilot Processing Plant) work includes selective removal of CMU partitions, doors and frames, ceiling mounted devices, piping, electrical, fire protection, and ceilings mounted mechanical equipment and duct work in the two story high bay. New work includes wall partitions, doors and frames, ceiling and grid, interior finishes, light fixtures, power and data outlets, sprinklers, mechanical ductwork, rerouting all piping in the space and diffusers and roof mounted air handling unit. Work also includes new audio-visual equipment for a new conference room and connection to the Pilot Plant. For Room 190 (Analytical Lab) work includes removal of existing ductwork and capping at the wall. Installation of a new chemical fume hood and paint and patching and repairs to existing surfaces. For Room 194 (Test Kitchen) work includes removal of two existing kitchen exhaust hoods and removal of ductwork and capping back at the point of entry of Room 190. Demolition work also includes selective sawcut of the existing concrete floor New work includes laboratory metal casework with stainless steel counters, new PVC suspended ceiling, new kitchen exhaust hood and ductwork to an exterior side mounted exhaust fan and plumbing and electrical modifications. This Project is located at: Agricultural Engineering Sciences Building, 1304 West Pennsylvania Avenue, Urbana, IL 61801.
