Project Description
This project consists of construction of the new Design Center, which is comprised of approximately 60,000 gross square feet of building, two (2) levels; Ground level and Basement level. The new work includes general construction, plumbing construction, heating construction with temperature control work, ventilation construction, electrical construction, sprinkler construction, concrete construction, site construction, structural steel construction and windows, as indicated on the Contract Documents.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held in Room 301, Coordinated Science Lab (CSL), 1308 West Main Street, Urbana, Illinois 61801 on 03/02/18 at 9:30 AM prevailing time. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
The project site is located along 4th Street, at the west end of an open campus green known as the Military Axis. The site is bounded by 4th Street to the west, the pedestrian sidewalk located just south of Huff Hall to the north, the existing Art+Design parking lot to the south, and a point approximately midway between 4th Street and 6th Street to the east as indicated on the Contract Documents. Utility extensions to connect to existing campus utilities will extend beyond these general project boundaries - extent as indicated on the Contract Documents.
