Project Description
The project work shall include an approximately 1,500 sf addition to the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital and remodeling of approximately 1,200 sf of space on the lower level in the existing building. All project areas are to have hazardous materials abated. The scope will include, at minimum, selective demolition and renovation of existing interior and exterior spaces including walls, doors, and finishes; new work consisting of EIFS clad concrete and CMU exterior walls, structural steel, PVC membrane roofing and accessories, standing seam metal roofing, hollow metal doors and frames with hardware, CMU partition walls, metal stud and gypsum board interior partition walls and soffits, interior casework, flooring, suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid, and painting; and all associated Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical work. The existing building MEP systems will be extended to serve the remodeled area and new addition. An AHU and other mechanical equipment serving the addition will be located on the roof of the new addition. Site utilities, grading and landscaping shall be reworked at the new addition site. The Linear Accelerator unit, to be located in the vault addition, will be provided and installed by others.
