Project Description
As part of the Sesquicentennial Celebration, public deficiencies on the east side in Noyes Laboratory of Chemistry building will be addressed, along with the conversion of an obsolete laboratory into a new general assignment lecture hall. The Noyes Laboratory of Chemistry - Limited First Floor Renovation project includes new windows, upgraded finishes, including painting, flooring, cleaning/repairing existing terrazzo flooring, new ceilings, new lighting, new door hardware, fire suppression, interior signage and stairway finish upgrades to the east side of the building. The approximate area of work is 6839 NSF. The conversion of an existing unused wet laboratory into a new general assignment lecture hall includes audio-visual technology and furniture. Asbestos abatement at the new lecture hall and at the windows. A new standalone air-handler unit to serve the HVAC needs of the new lecture hall will be located next to the new lecture hall.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held in Conference Room 170, Noyes Laboratory, 505 South Mathews Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61801 on 01/03/19 at 10:00 AM prevailing time. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
