Project Description
The U18012-R Davenport Hall - West Renovation project will renovate the west wing of Davenport Hall, including upgrades to twelve (12) general assignment classrooms. Corridors and adjacent teaching spaces will also be upgraded. New, high efficiency HVAC systems will be included, as well as new electrical service equipment, lighting, and modifications to the sprinkler system in the affected area. This bid, U18012-R, is a complete rebid of a project bid released earlier and the scope of work for this project has been changed. Previous project work contained within the base bid has been removed and is now included as three (3) alternates, specifically:

Alternate #1 - Exterior improvements: Provide all work associated with the new accessible entrance at the building's west fa�ade, including new limestone stairs, ramp, seating area, new entry doors, and lighting.

Alternate #2 - Transformer replacement: Provide all work associated with removal of the existing transformers and installation of a new liquid-filled transformer.

Alternate #3 - Elevator upgrade: Provide all work associated with replacing the Omega Rails with T-Rails and install new roller guides, replace controller, and provide new fixtures.

This Project is located at: 607 South Mathews Avenue, Urbana, IL 61801. The main building entrance is on the Quad. The project work is primarily limited to the west wing of the building along the Quad.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held in Room 109A, Davenport Hall, 607 South Mathews Avenue, Urbana, IL 61801 on 10/09/19 at 11:00 AM prevailing time. Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
