Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at Springfield requests statements of qualifications from professional services consultants interested in providing the Springfield campus with civil engineering and structural engineering services on a retainer basis. One firm will be selected. The agreement will be for one fiscal year (beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2015) with options to annually renew for up to three additional fiscal year periods (July 1 through June 30) for a total of four years, with the opportunity to make adjustments in the scheduled hourly rates.

Civil Engineering services required under this contract include, but are not limited to land surveying; topographic and utility site surveying; environmental engineering; geotechnical and foundation engineering; hydrology and hydraulic engineering; and engineering analysis, planning and design of sanitary sewer systems, storm water systems, water distribution systems, roads and streets, parking lots, and other site and/or civil infrastructure improvements. The Professional Services Consultant should have access to consulting resources that provide diverse experience and expertise to include but not necessarily be limited to incidental architectural, mechanical and hazardous material remediation as may be necessary to successfully complete each Civil Engineering Retainer project.

Structural Engineering services required under this contract include, but are not limited to structural design, forensic structural investigation, existing structural condition assessment, structural analysis, structural repair recommendations, failure assessment, static and dynamic analysis, loads imposed analysis, and seismic analysis of gravity and lateral structural elements and systems for new building, existing buildings, bridges and equipment mounting supports primarily composed of steel, concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, and composite materials; and provide cost estimates and project schedules for projects, as required.
