Conflict of Interest Hearing - #PSSU11007 (Natural History Building)

The Chief Procurement Officer for Institutions of Higher Education (CPO) has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. The hearing will be held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus (Room 514, 807 South Wright Street, Champaign, IL) and will be recorded.

The purpose of the hearing is to gather information that may be used by the CPO to determine whether to allow or void a contract for architectural services with BLDD Architects, Inc. The Procurement Policy Board has recommended voiding the contract based on a potential conflict of interest.

This hearing is required under Section 50-35 of the Illinois Procurement Code. Any person who has not been asked to testify may testify by registering with the hearing officer. The hearing officer is:

Project Description
The University of Illinois Urbana Campus is seeking Professional Services Consultants (PSC) with Architectural, Engineering, Historical, and Structural for conceptualization, design, bid/award, and construction administration services for a comprehensive phased renovation of the Natural History Building (NHB) with a minimum LEED Gold certification, which was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places in November 1986 as part of the Nathan C. Ricker thematic district. The building currently serves the School of Earth, Society, and Environment (SESE), the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) and the School of Integrative Biology (SIB) all in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS).
