Project Description
The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is seeking a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) with Architectural, Engineering, and Structural expertise for the design, bid/award, and construction administration services for a proposed 4200 GSF addition to the Aerodynamics Research Laboratory (bldg No. 1093), 1021 West Western Ave, Urbana, IL for the Department of Aerospace Engineering. The new addition will be designed as an extension on the east side of the existing building. The new addition will be compatible and contextual with the design of the existing structure. Laboratory spaces within the addition will house a Mach 4 wind tunnel, an asymmetrical wind tunnel, a 5 x 5 tunnel, and an Anechoic Chamber which will be relocated and installed into the new addition. The proposed expansion will include some upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems and services in the existing building.
