Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Professional Service Consultant (PSC) for the design, bid/award, construction, and warranty phase services for the DIA - Track and Field Replacement located at 602 St. Mary's Rd, Champaign. The project shall provide the removal of the existing track and field, regrading, and complete replacement and reconfiguration of the track and field facilities. The improvements include reorienting the track oval so the stands are immediately adjacent to the start and finish lines. The majority of the throwing events move to the infield of the track to provide a better overall experience for the fans. The new track surface and jump event facilities will be state of the art, providing the highest levels for competition and safety and will be designed to comply with NCAA regulations. New exterior lighting, sound systems, and video replay capabilities will be included in the project to meet the Big Ten competition requirements. The existing scoreboard will be relocated on site as necessary based on the proposed new design. New storage structures will be provided on the site as necessary for the track equipment.
