Project Description
The Board of Trustees of University of Illinois requests statements of qualifications from professional services consultants interested in providing the Urbana-Champaign campus with services concentrated in structural design and analysis on a retainer basis. Up to two (2) firms may be selected. Each agreement will be for one (1) fiscal year (beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018) with options to annually renew up to three additional fiscal year periods (July 1 through June 30) for a total of four years, including the opportunity to make adjustments in the scheduled hourly rates.
Professional services required for this Structural Engineer Retainer Contract may include, but are not limited to, the following: structural design, forensic structural investigation, existing structural condition assessment, structural analysis, structural repair recommendations, failure assessment and static and dynamic analysis; vertical and lateral analysis for applicable loads and systems for new buildings, existing buildings, bridges, utility infrastructure, tunnels and equipment mounting supports primarily composed of steel, concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, and composite materials; soil mechanics, earth retention and foundation system design; coordination with other disciplines; project schedules and cost estimates; and other related activities as required.
