Project Description
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Professional Service Consultant (PSC) for the Altgeld Hall Renovation and Illini Hall Replacement project. The project will begin with the Conceptualization and Schematic Design Phases to better define the scope, schedule, cost, and project delivery method. Following the Schematic Design Phase, the project will seek approval and a funding increase from the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. It is also the University's intent to utilize the same PSC firm for the remainder of the project for design development and construction documents, bidding, and construction administration professional services.

Other items incidental to the scope of work include:
Assess and provide remediation procedures for any hazardous materials, including but not limited to asbestos and lead, which may be encountered as part of this renovation project.

Design and select Audio/Visual (A/V) and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) to be purchased and installed by the Contractor as required to adequately serve the needs of the project.

Assess and provide geotechnical engineering services and survey work to determine the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions and all surface features of the project site.

Coordinate and provide any infrastructure needed to support the University selected Art for this project.

Project Location:

Altgeld Hall is located at 1409 W Green, Urbana, Illinois.

Illini Hall is located at 725 S Wright, Champaign, Illinois.

Two other sites will also be considered and the final approved site shall be confirmed by the start of the Conceptualization Phase.
