Owner has determined that this amendment is in the best interest of the University of Illinois and is authorized by law.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT consultant services required under this contract may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Design Development, Construction Documents, Bid & Award, and Construction Phase. This project will also include consideration for occupancy during construction (phasing on the drawings) and Partnering.
University Housing recognized the long term need to revitalize the Illinois Street Residence Dining Facility and started the process of selecting an Architect through the QBS Selection process in 2012. Booth Hansen was selected as the Professional Services Consultant for the Dining Facility project and prepared a Conceptualization Phase Report in May of 2013. The report cites deficiencies in the overall capacity and the current food services concept of the dining facility. In addition, the demand for the existing Residential Life component of the facility exceeds its capacity. The current condition of the facility and the projected need for the future resulted in a recommendation for a major renovation and addition to the Facility.
