The University awarded a contract for Clean up of SFC Arena after various events.
State Farm Center (SFC) would like to utilize Express Professionals (EP), a vendor that helps businesses find qualified labor, for the purpose of cleaning that facility after various events. The labor provided by EP would pick up debris both in and around the arena, as well as clean and sanitize the facility. This service is vital to ensure the facility is prepared and ready to host different events, which in some instances may be less than 24 hours apart.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)) Exempt per (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)).
