The University awarded a contract for Incentive Bonus Coverage/Liability.
The purpose of the purchase is to provide certainty, for budget purposes, in the amount of our incentive compensation.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)) Section 1-13(b)(4) of the Code exempts procurement expenditures necessary to provide athletic, artistic or musical services, performances, events or productions by or for a public institution of higher education.
