This is for Western Illinois University's radio station (WIUM), Macomb, IL.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for programming and broadcast license rights for university-operated radio and television stations(30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(7)) Tri States Public Radio is the NPR affiliate station for a large region of west-central Illinois, southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri; public radio broadcasts provide the best and in many cases the only access to high-quality news, information and cultural programming that is available. NPR also provides seamless integration of local and national content to the Tri States Public Radio website.
