Project Description
The installation of a new BAS operator workstation in the building engineers office in the South Building room 105, three new JACE 8000 building controllers with one each in the South Lower Concourse, South Penthouse and North Penthouse rooms, BAS digital controls to replace obsolete KMC controls for AHU-1 (south penthouse), AHU-2 & 3 (north penthouse) and roof top unit AS-1 (MRI Rm 1316 and roof above), Hot Water Systems 1 & 2 (south lower concourse mechanical room), chilled and hot water systems serving the MRI addition (south LC mechanical room C301), both penthouse elevator room fan coil units, exhaust fans located in both penthouses, and the MRI and Linac chillers/pumps located in the South penthouse, new control dampers on AHU-1, 2 & 3 and electronic damper actuators, new air flow measuring stations on AHU-1, 2 & 3, new electronic actuators to replace existing pneumatic actuators on the existing hot and chilled water valves on AHU-1, 2 & 3 and steam valves on HX-1 & 2, new VFDs on SF-1 and RF-2, and the replacement of obsolete VFDs on SF-3 and RF-3, rebuild of vane axial fans for SF-1 & 2 and RF-1 & 2 including ceramic motor bearings, motor shaft grounding rings, fan bearings, fixed-pitch fan blade linkage kits, and motor shaft grounding rings on SF-3 & RF-3.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held in UI Hospital Room 1020, 1740 W. Taylor Street at 12:30 PM on 3/21/2024. *Please note you will need to obtain a visitor pass from security prior to proceeding to the conference room.
Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
