The University awarded a contract for Wiley Journal Database Collection.
One year access to Wiley plus the Journal Database Collection with reading and publishing, with two optional renewals. Year 1: right to publish up to 21 hybrid OA articles. Years 2 & 3: right to publish up to 22 hybrid OA articles per year.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(5)) Access to academic journals, assorted titles as well as publishing rights.
