The University awarded a contract for a license to Presence software..
The University requires the ongoing use of Presence software for the use of event management tracking, communication management, and hour tracking.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) The University currently utilizes this software on campus and is required to purchase licensing annually for continued use.
