The University awarded a contract for training services for caregivers..
Training services for caregivers of medically complex technology dependent children. A sizable amount of the care required by these individuals involves clinical skills above and beyond that which is taught in nursing programs. These trainings for nurses and caregivers offers them a chance to have refresher trainings and to build on their existing skills, so that they can better care for these individuals.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations.
