The University awarded a contract for Automatic Sanitized Plastic Toilet Seat Cover,.
Supplies to UI Health for patients and visitors automatic sanitized plastic toilet seat cover, and the hygolet battery packs that allows the toilet seat motor to turn and metal keys when replacements are needed for the prevention of infection and disease control.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Toilet seat cover sanitation and hygiene will be lacking for UI Health patients, employee and visitors without the automatic plastic toilet seat cover for the prevention of infection and disease control.
