Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

College of Medicine (COM) at University of Illinois desires to obtain the contract services of Alliance employees: Patient service representative, medical assistants, registered nurse and 0.5 FTE registered nurse manager to provide clinic support services.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Without the exemption, the College of Medicine will not be able to have the affiliation with the Alliance Management LLC group that would allow COM to expand services to a new location and would lose revenue opportunity to bring in more clinical revenue.
