Prime Big Wheel Stretchers are designed to reduce physical strain on clinicians, enhance patient comfort and drive hospital efficiency. UI Health standardized with Stryker for compatibility of equipment and ease of use and to better serve the increasing patient population.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) UI Health is getting Tier 1 pricing through Vizient Contract CE3150. The pricing we received is considered fair and reasonable.
