Announcement of an Exempt Purchase

Vendor will provide computerized primary and secondary ticketing services for athletic events, concerts, consumer shows, speakers, family shows, and other special events, produced, promoted, scheduled, or sponsored by UIC Venues & Events, UIC Athletics Department, and/or Center for Student Involvement. The vendor will provide a computerized ticketing system, related services and equipment, and training necessary to electronically manage both primary and secondary ticket inventory for specified events as well as season and series events, for box office sales as well as facilitate internet and outlet sales as well as automated turnstile functions. Vendor will also provide a student ticket distribution solution.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for athletic, artistic or musical services, performances, events, or productions by or for a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(4)) This service allows us to maximize our revenue and provides greater opportunities for our potential customers to access tickets at a reduced cost.
