Invitation for Construction Bid: Replace West Side Back-up Generators

Project Description
Remove asbestos and lead around out of service boilers no. 1, 2, and 3. Remove coal hoppers and other coal handling equipment for the above referenced boilers. Remove out of service boilers no. 1, 2, and 3 and associated equipment and piping to make space for future equipment. Limited electrical gear, cabling, and lights will also be removed. Demolish equipment pads for all equipment removed to be flush with existing floors. Cover or infill all unprotected openings or add temporary/permanent guardrails. Remove structural support for removed equipment.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for all parties interested in bidding the project will be held in 1101 W Taylor Street, TSB, MC892, Room 116 Chicago, IL 60607 at 10:00 AM on 10/26/2026.
Representatives of the Owner and the Professional Services Consultant will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend.
