Northern Illinois University (NIU) requests proposals from qualified vendors to provide contracted services for ecological prairie restoration of approximately 45 acres located on our campus. The contracted services shall occur over five project phases including the assessment and planning of the existing site which includes outlining a plan for preparation, seed sowing, and maintenance, site design that illustrates the incorporation of trails, buffer zones and planting areas, implementation of the approved plan, three year maintenance of the implementation, and educational engagement sharing knowledge and experience of ecological prairie restoration.
