Southern Illinois University Carbondale seeks to procure a language-learning platform from Immerse. This is a one year enterprise subscription/license and access fees for eligible learners.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)) This purchase for language learning is paid for entirely by a grant. This purchase is also exempt per (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(3), as the grant is restricted to the Immerse platform.
