hosting software for a data management and reporting system that our laboratory uses for FDA compliant pre-clinical studies.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) Loss of this system would drastically effect both ongoing projects and future projects.
