The University awarded a contract for UICCP student success initiatives.
Partnership between UIC and UIC College Prep High School (UICCP) to support student success initiatives for UICCP students to prepare them for college and build a pipeline to UIC and to enhance support for UICCP graduates who matriculate to UIC.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) UIC's partnership with the Noble Network on UICCP is reflective of UIC's strategic priority of community engagement. A goal of the partnership is to strengthen the college readiness of UICCP students, many of whom, it is hoped through the partnership, will attend UIC.
